For the first time, the American Academy of Pediatrics has changed its position to say people living with HIV can breast/chest feed their infants if they are on treatment and maintain an undetectable viral load. People living with HIV in the US have risked criminalization and having children removed by protective services if they breast/chestfed their infants.
